Church
Liaison Committee
Kennington has two churches besides our own Church of England
parish church, St Swithun's. There is a Roman Catholic Church of the Good
Shepherd and a Methodist Church. The village has a Church Liaison Committee
(churches together) movement.
Church Liaison Committee services or events are held most
months except August. Details of events can be found in the diary
page of the site. The events culminate at Christmas in a well-supported
Church Liaison Committee carol service in the village hall.

There are also special Church Liaison Committee acts of worship at Easter
including a Good Friday walk of witness through the village during which
a replica cross is carried by various members of the three churches, with
hymns, readings, prayers, thoughts and reflections on the Easter message.
In addition all three churches jointly support the Gatehouse
project in Oxford and collect items for the homeless. More information
about both projects can be found in the outreach
section of the site.
